RE: Poe Hydroelectric Project, FERC No. 2107-CA
Poe Hiking Trail - Delegation of Authority Request Regarding Section 7 of the
Endangered Species Act
Dear Secretary Reese:
This letter respectfully requests the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to designate
Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) as its non-federal representative to initiate formal
consultation with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) under Section 7 of the
Endangered Species Act for the construction of the Poe Hiking Trail (Project), which is part of
PG&E’s Poe Hydroelectric Project, FERC No. 2107.
PG&E completed an IPaC review for the Project under USFWS IPaC Project Code 2026-0152584,
which will be used to support the necessary formal consultation with USFWS. PG&E requests that
FERC, pursuant to 50 CFR section 402.08, designate PG&E as its non-federal representative for
formal consultation under Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act. This Project may begin as
early as Fall 2027, in the event that all necessary permits and authorizations have been received at
that time. PG&E is in the process of preparing a construction authorization request, which will be
submitted to FERC’s San Francisco Regional Office as soon as possible.
If you have questions or comments regarding this matter, please contact Anna Urias, license
coordinator for PG&E, at (530) 201-1961.
Sincerely,
Anika Larson
Senior License Coordinator
