This proposed 'solar farm' is located in undeveloped, county land that is next to the City of Chico. My concern here is: How will this development work with the city if it expands into this area? Is this undeveloped land needed for future City of Chico expansion? 2. The trees. There are native Oaks in the area that deserve scrutiny and consideration. I heard that Cenergy is proposing to cut down 30-50% of the trees. This is not acceptable. There is a lot of undeveloped land in Butte County. I don't understand why another area (other areas) and not also under consideration, someplace where no city may encroach and perhaps someplace that is not pristine oak forest/meadow area, but rather a rural but already developed area at risk for 100 year floods and not suitable for housing development and also of little agricultural value.
